A closer look at how we arrived at certain solutions...

When this front patio and walk was designed, we felt a circular theme to be more welcoming to visitors. The fountain in the background offers a simple pleasure in the informal plant bed, a soothing sound. Cast planters are placed to visually soften the exposed aggregate concrete.

This kitchen addition/remodel not only added to, but
opened up the room to the living and dining areas.
Also, three windows in the kitchen, one pictured here,
provided much daylight to the space, as well as views to watch over the children in the backyard. The glass cabinet doors, custom designed by us, carried from a theme of sunflowers
that was reflected in other areas of the home.

It was important to this client to reach the patio from both the upper and lower levels. We located a spiral stair to do just that. Designing FOR the client's true needs and desires is
at the center of our philosophy.

The large window over the sink and dishwasher not only
allowed much natural lighting into the kitchen, but
also provides a watchful view over the kids playing in
the backyard. When we design, it is important to think about
and provide solutions for such important activities.

Even in the design of railing for a deck, we consider the spacing of balusters. Note how just a simple variation to the old "standby" pattern can be made more rhythmic. In this case, two balusters form a "unit" and that unit is repeated.
